Engaging in prayer is a universal experience for individuals of many faiths. Prayer knows not age, color of skin, gender, moral code, or personality. Some faiths use meditation as a means of spiritual connection or prayer. Some individuals recite prayers that have been memorized, a tradition of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Some individuals pray by entering into a conversation with God. Others contemplate the presence of God. Prayer comes in many forms and not all prayer occurs with folded hands or on bended knee; but, Chuck's choice of the classic form of head bowed, eyes closed, and hands together invokes in us the reminder of our attempts to reach out spiritually.
