Water has always been sacred to the Indian people. Hinduism stresses its importance to life and to spiritual renewal, not unlike many other religions. The oceans that surround India on three sides are a reminder of life and the spirit. This is a depiction of the coast as Pintu has observed it in his journeys through his native country.
