Meet the Newest MOSA Artist

Marlena Hebenstreit
Painter

Marlena Hebenstreit grew up in a family of artists in the urban art community of Cincinnati, OH. Her early art education came from studying artists whom her parents admired such as Rubens, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Tiepolo, Turner, Goya, Fragonard, etc. For years she tagged along with her renowned portrait painting mother to classes; painting, drawing and sculpture, absorbing the art and ultimately creating an appreciation for the methods used by the old masters.

Today, her early exposure to those great artists shows in her work. Marlena paints with a skill and insight that can only come from years of studying them. She has many of her paintings in private collections across the US including the Museum of Spiritual Art in Franklin, OH. Marlena has won numerous awards with the latest being 1st place in the Woman’s Art Club 125th annual juried Exhibition. She is also an annual judge for the esteemed Women’s 3 Arts Scholarship for Visual Arts and has been featured along with her family on WCET’s show Art Bridges. Her paintings are available at the Greenwich House Gallery in Obryonville, OH and are featured in the heart of bourbon country, Bardstown, KY at Bourbon Manor Bed and Breakfast.

Marlena lives with her three artistic children and husband and works out of her studio in Wyoming, OH.
